MEP THOR 1020 BAND SAW New to the catalog The THOR is a semi-automatic, double-column band saw. 0° cuts, suitable for cutting all types of steel and alloys. The machine can accommodate both bimetallic and carbide tipped (TCT) blades. SOME FEATURES: Quick blade approach to the material being cut. Automatic head descent regulator in case of excessive feed rate based on the type of material and the preset values. Automatic memorization of the blade holder arch position based on the height of the material. Automatic chip conveyor. Motorized blade cleaning brush. Automatic hydraulic blade tensioning. The blade rotation speed is set from the machine console via an electronic variator (inverter). Cutting head guided on linear recirculating ball guides. The cutting head automatically positions itself in the starting position during the upward movement. The front blade guide head is integral with the sliding vice, thus ensuring correct positioning and greater safety. Carbide blade guides and ball bearings. High-precision blade guides with carbide tips and anti-slip bearings. Anti-friction LMG bearings ensure linear movement of the cutting head during both descent and ascent.
